SPECIAL PROGRAM FOR RNs - CE Direct & PearlsReview
The Ben Hudnall Memorial Trust has partnered with Gannett Education to provide access to their CE Direct & PearlsReview education platform. Gannett Education is the top provider of continuing education for nurses in the world, and part of the Gannett Healthcare Group, publishers of Nursing Spectrum, NurseWeek and Nurse.com.

With more than 700 courses in every clinical area, and new courses added every month, nurses can continue to grow their knowledge and earn CE credits. All courses are American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) pre-approved and CE Direct is the only online provider to have won ANCC's “Premier Providership” award, for offering the best of the best in quality CE content.
- Certification Test-Prep (PearlsReview)
PearlsReview offers more than 900 hours of online certification test-prep material to help nurses prepare for and pass their exams. With support for more than 70 different certifications, including CCRN, AORN, CEN, NPD and dozens more, they can support nurses in all specialties. Even ACLS, NCLEX and PALS are part of the PearlsReview system. Additionally, users have access to the Online Clinical Textbook which provides an in-depth view of 650+ clinical topics, covering 98% of the conditions nurses see at the bedside. Sections include epidemiology, risk factors, complications, prognosis, discharge planning, etc. and each chapter includes an exam.

Who is eligible for this program?
This program is being offered to CKPU-represented employees who participate in the Ben Hudnall Memorial Trust (BHMT). (Employees who are represented by SEIU are not eligible). While our goal is to make this benefit available to all BHMT participants, availability is being rolled out on a regional basis.
Which regions has this program been rolled out to?
Currently Georgia, Hawaii, Mid-Atlantic States, Northwest and Southern California are participating in this program. The remaining regions are currently exploring how to make it available to their employees.

What courses are offered?
Nursing-specific continuing education and test preparation courses are available. There are 550 continuing education courses and more than 900 hours of review content for over 75 different nursing certifications. View the CE Direct Course Catalog

Is there a cap on training access?
No. A registered participant has unlimited access to CE Direct, anytime, anywhere.
Is there a fee for this program?
The BHMT covers the program cost for all eligible participants. There is no cost to the individual. Required materials for each course are are also free and available online.
Can I access these programs during work hours?
Unless there is a special agreement between regional labor and management representatives, education leave will follow the provisions of the regional contract and/or the BHMT stipend program.
Will these courses count towards continuing education requirements?
Yes. The courses are credentialed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Nursing Boards across the country accept this training for continuing education hours.
Who will have access to training records?
Each participant will have access to his or her own records. Nurse educators will have access for their assigned medical center.
What else do I need to know?
The program and participation is governed, as applicable, by the terms of the BHMT student agreement.
