What types of programs are funded?

What forms of funding are available?
The types of funding vary and are based on each program's needs. Some examples of funding are: tuition, certification fees, stipends, instructor fees, etc. 

As established in the Summary Plan Document, Regions should use any available funds (i.e. Tuition Reimbursement [the Trust will coordinate tuition payments with your region’s program], Education Leave, and grants) prior to utilizing Trust funds. Please note that the Trust will not pay for the following: Backfill, Benefits, Overtime, Travel, Food, Lodging or Reimbursement to KP.

How long does it take to get a program started?
Please allow 6–8 weeks upon Regional approval of the proposal for its progress through the Workforce Planning and Development Executive Committee and the Trustees of the Ben Hudnall Memorial Trust for final review. It is important that the proposed program enjoys both management and labor support.

How do I get started?

Who will manage/provide administrative support for the program?
A project manager is selected by the region to manage the Regional Training Program. All administrative support would be allocated at the Region's discretion.

Please speak with your Regional Workforce Planning and Development team to resolve any issues or contact the National Workforce Planning and Development team for guidance.
