Regional Training Programs
Proposal Process
Interested in submitting a proposal for your Region?
Here is the overall process to submitting a BHMT friendly proposal.
- Ensure the Regional Training Program (RTP) Proposal meets the following guidelines:
- Meets Summary Plan Description requirements for types of programs the Trustees will fund
- Encompasses as many of the Program Criteria as possible
- Aligns with Regional Strategic Plans
- Labor and Management partners support the program
- All intended participants are eligible
- Funding does not request: backfill, benefits, overtime, travel, food, lodging, or reimbursement for KP salary expenses, e.g. program management or instructors
- Fill out the BHMT Proposal Form completely
- Submit completed proposal to the Regional Workforce Planning and Development Team Committee for approval
- Submit to the National Workforce Planning and Development Team; if proposal was approved at the Regional level
- National WFP/D will assign a RTP ID# and review program to ensure it meets BHMT RTP Criteria
- Proposal will be submitted to the Executive Committee for review
- Approved proposals are then submitted to the Trustees of the BHMT for final review and approval
- Email notification to the Regional WFP/D Team and RTP Project Managers once the Trustees have reached a decision
